The Kiwanis Memorial Park is located adjacent to Main
Street between Peel Village Parkway on the north and Bartley Bull Parkway on the
south. Parking is available nearby. The Park features formal planting areas
together with the picturesque Etobicoke Creek that winds its way through the
park, providing a natural setting.
This program creates a worthwhile opportunity for
citizens to become involved in contributing towards an investment in trees for
the future, while at the same time combining a long-lasting, fitting tribute to
significant events in their lives. This can be for the remembrance of someone
dear, the celebration of a birth or honouring a
retiree.
|
You select an appropriate tree and planting site
within the Kiwanis Memorial Park. Marking your tribute will be a distinctive
bronze plaque mounted in concrete, which will be placed at the base of the
tree. Your choice of inscription will appear on the plaque as a lasting
memorial, or to commemorate your event. The tree and planting site will be
added to the permanent record and plan of the
Park.
The development of the
Kiwanis Memorial Park is a joint venture between all the Kiwanis Clubs of
Brampton and the Brampton Parks and Recreation Department. This program
demonstrates the true concern and interest of the Kiwanis Clubs and the City
toward the replacement of trees and how, through cooperative partnership
agreements, this objective can be reached..
